The derivative contracts in the underlying NAGARFERT has crossed 95% of the market-wide position limit on August 31, 2007. It is hereby informed that all clients/ members shall trade in derivative contracts of NAGARFERT by offsetting their existing positions till the open interest comes down to 80% of the market wide position limit.

The media had reports that Paramount Communications Ltd may acquire UK based AEI Cables for around Rs 260 crore.

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.


Paramount Communications Ltd has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We would like to inform that the Board of the Company is meeting today to consider the proposed acquisition. We will update and keep the Stock Exchange informed in this regard."
