Kavveri Telecom Products Ltd has announced that the Company acquired Til-Tek and DCI, two North American companies during the last one year. Til-Tek is a leader in antennas and DCI in RF products and filters. The Company has now acquired Technology, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Patents for Base Station Antennas of erstwhile Sigma Wireless, Ireland from PCTEL, Chicago, USA. With this acquisition, the Company now has the capability to manufacture Base Station Antennas incorporating the latest technologies on par with the best in the World. Both Indian and global customers would be addressed by the Company in this area. This acquisition also gives the Company access to customers and vendors of Sigma Wireless in Europe. The acquisition also brings into the Company's fold seven international patents.
"With the latest technology, R&D facility both in India and Canada, customers in North America, Europe and APAC, Kavveri has now become a truly global Indian company. We would of course focus very strongly on the Indian market which has and in the foreseeable future provide the biggest market for these products. Kavveri’s strength would be our ability to service the requirements of the telecom operators and OEMs for the Base Station Antennas in such a way that they have access to World class technology at Indian prices", said Mr. Shivakumar Reddy, Managing Director of the Company. "Since we own the technology for what we sell, we are better placed to evolve as per the customer requirements rather than look over our shoulders to fulfill customer needs", he added. "The patents that we have acquired would enable Kavveri to bring to the Indian telecom space a totally new technological dimension in Base Station Antennas", said Ms Uma Reddy, who besides being the driving force behind this acquisition heads the North American and European operations of the Company.
The Company is poised for a 100% growth over last year and has already started building infrastructure in line with the projected growth over the next three years.
The Company’s clientele in India include Motorola, Ericsson, Nokia, Nortel, ZTE, Alcatel-Lucent, Vodafone Essar, Idea, Reliance, Spice, BSNL and Worldspace etc.
