BEML Q3FY08 Results

BEML Ltd has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended December 31, 2007:

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 592.40 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 529.70 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 5591.10 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 to Rs 6407.60 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007.

BEML Q2 results

Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended September 30, 2007:

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 243.20 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 365.70 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006. Total Income is Rs 4872.80 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 6187.80 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.

The paid up capital of the Company has changed from Rs 367.40 million to Rs 416.40 million consequent upon public issue of 49 lakhs shares of Rs 10 each issued at a premium of Rs 1065 per share. The EPS for the current quarter / Half Year is based on Weighted Average Number of Shares outstanding during the period and thus is not comparable with those of previous reported periods.

BEML secures order from DMRC

Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) has informed that the Company has secured an order from M/s. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for manufacture and supply of 156 nos. state-of-the-art standard gauge Stainless Steal Metro Cars towards second phase of operation worth Rs 1144 crores. This order is the single largest historic contract BEML has bagged. BEML is also looking forward for an additional order of 36 Metro Cars from DMRC.

BEML's Rail & Metro Business Group has tied up with IL&FS for working as a consortium to bag metro projects in the country and BEML will supply rolling stock, spares and after sales service for metro projects. BEML & ILFS combine is also exploring the possibility to work on the City Centre to International Airport segment of Metro project at both Hyderabad and Bangalore and possibly other projects on a BOOT basis. BEML is also exploring the avenues to establish a joint venture with an International player for manufacture of various types of bogies in India.

BEML gets orders from NCL

Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) has informed about the following:

1. BEML launched a Marketing office cum warehouse at Malaysia in the name of BEML (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (787108-A) at Johor Bharu on October 23, 2007 in the presence of Hon'ble Dy. Minister of Domestic Trade & Consumer Affairs, Government of Malaysia, Y B Dato Veerasingham alias Subbaiah, High Commissioner of India at Malaysia. This office will
function as the regional global distribution centre for stocking and selling its spare parts and servicing equipments in south asian region and Australia.

2. BEML secured an order from M/s. Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL) for supply and servicing of 3 nos. 20 cum electric rope shovels worth Rs 648 crores.

BEML inaugurates rail coaches

Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) has informed that the Rail Coach Unit II is being inaugurated on October 09, 2007 at Kolar Gold Fields, Karnataka. This unit will be utilized to produce Railway Wagons and Rail Coaches for Defence and Civil applications and for high speed freight corridor.
