GTL Ltd has informed that the Company and Ericsson UK on February 05, 2008 announced a strategic alliance to Jointly address the Managed Network Infrastructure Services market in the UK.
The partnership marks Ericsson UK first ever partnership to offer Managed Network Infrastructure Services (MNIS) to Network Operators and Service Providers in the United Kingdom.
Ericsson and GTL will focus on the growing demand for the provision of highly efficient managed infrastructure services for mobile operators. Ericsson and GTL will work closely together to form a strong strategic business relationship in the marketing, rollout, and operation of managed infrastructure and related equipment. Ericsson will integrate GTL's services in the Pre Bid (RFP) stage and generate opportunities for managed infrastructure from its managed services activity in the UK market. Ericsson currently has comprehensive Managed Services contracts with tier-1 mobile operators in the UK.

GTL Q3FY08 Results
GTL Ltd has announced the following Audited results for the quarter ended December 31, 2007:
The Company has posted a net profit after extraordinary items of Rs 337.20 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 98.50 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 2139.40 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 to Rs 3652.10 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007.
The Audited Consolidated results are as follows:
The Group has posted a net profit after extraordinary items of Rs 406.70 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 208.00 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 2927.00 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 to Rs 4546.10 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007.
The figures for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 are Unaudited.

GTL - Updates on Buyback of equity shares
"With reference to the Letter of Offer dated October 15, 2007 issued by the Company under the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Buyback of Securities) Regulations, 1998 for Buyback up to 86,29,333 Equity shares through tender route.
The Company's Buyback offer opened on October 29, 2007 and closed on November 19, 2007. The Company received good response to the Buyback offer with 3.768 times acceptance from the Shareholders. Since the total number of shares tendered by the shareholders is more than the Buyback size, the shares accepted by the Company are on proportionate basis in accordance with the Buyback regulations.
The Company paid out Buyback consideration amounting to Rs 258.88 Crore and the excess shares returned to the shareholders who responded to the Company's Buyback offer. In view of the said Buyback offer, the promoters' shareholding in the Company has gone up from 32% to 34.70%.
In terms of the Buyback regulations, the Company will cancel and extinguish 86,29,333 Equity shares received under the Buyback offer."

GTL Ltd has announced the following Audited results for the quarter ended September 30, 2007:
The Company has posted a net profit after extraordinary items of Rs 454.30 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 76.40 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 1455.60 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 to Rs 3579.20 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007.
The Consolidated results are as follows:
The Group has posted a net profit after extraordinary items of Rs 1523.60 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 182.40 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 2352.10 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 to Rs 4343.60 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007.

GTL Ltd has announced that the Company has won Network Services contract involving Turnkey Network Deployment and Operations & Maintenance Services from one of the leading Telecom operator.
This Telecom Operator has a major presence in the North and North East Telecom circles and is expanding its operations across the Telecom Circles of Bihar, Himachal Pradesh and West Bengal. The Telecom Operator has engaged the Company for Turnkey Network Services with an initial order of Rs 100 Cr (USD 25 Mn). As part of the engagement, the Company will lead manage the Project and would offer Project Management, Equipment supply, Civil and Electrical works & Professional services.
The Telecom Operator has also announced ambitious expansion plans for the growing Telecom market in India. The Operator recently received additional licenses to expand Pan India and plans to invest in excess of US $ 2 billion for the roll out of Telecom Networks in the next 2-3 years.
This contract provides for a long-term engagement between the Company and the Telecom Operator. The Company shall deploy the telecom Infrastructure and also offer Operations & Maintenance services for a period of 3 years.
The maintenance services include field level support, preventive and periodic maintenance and troubleshooting. The Services are offered on a stringent SLA basis In line with world-class network norms.
