Infotech Enterprises Ltd has announced that the Company has signed an MOU with CIPET (Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology). The MOU was signed by Mr. B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director, Infotech Enterprises Ltd and Mr. P Poomalai, Dy. Director, CIPET, Hyderabad.
This is the first ever MOU to be signed by Infotech with an institute which specializes in Plastics. The primary objective of this MOU is to jointly work for the purpose of enhancing the quality of technical education imparted to students of CIPET the field of CAD, CAM & CAE, in related Mechanical, Aeronautical and other branches associated to the nature of works carried out by Infotech. This MOU is valid for a period of three years.
The scope of the collaboration envisages increasing the employability of students by offering internship on live projects at Infotech, conducting special technical lectures by Infotech senior practioners for students at campuses, conducting soft skills development programmes and working with CIPET management towards strengthening the curriculum to align the industry requirements with the institute.

Infotech Enterprises Ltd has announced that on October 24, 2007 the Company inaugurated its global technology centre in Electronic city, Bangalore. The new facility was inaugurated by Mr. Louis R Chenevert, President and COO UTC (United Technologies Corporation) and Mr. Ashok Baweja, Chairman, HAL, was the chief guest.
The new five storeyed facility built on two basement floors on a two acre plot has a built up area of 2.40 Lakh sq ft. Infotech invested over Rs 40 crores to build this facility. This facility will accommodate over 1500 work stations. This facility will enable the Company to integrate its three development centres in Madiwala, Bommanahalli and Koramangala in one location. The new facility would house all Infotech's Engineering Design Services - predominantly, Aerospace, Avionics and Rail. This is Infotech's fourth facility in India; the other three large facilities are in Hyderabad.

Infotech Enterprises Ltd has announced the inauguration of a dedicated facility in Survey of India, Uppal Hyderabad Campus by Major General Gopal Rao, Surveyor General of India.
The Company will be executing the contracts awarded by Survey of India for mapping the cities of Ahmedabad and Chennai in this facility. The Company will be employing softcopy photogrammetry technology to extract features in 3D. A team from the Company will operate from this secure facility and complete the project in 4 months time. Around 500 sq. km of thickly populated urban areas will be covered at 1:1000 scale in these two cities.
The features to be captured include buildings, transport network, utility networks, communication structures, water bodies, vegetation, and contours. The output will be delivered in DGN format along with the attribute data collected from Field Survey. The data will be useful for application in urban planning and management, taxation, emergency preparedness and response, security, health and civic amenities.
Speaking on this occasion, BVR Mohan Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director of the Company said, "We have always believed that there is enormous potential in domestic GIS space and Infotech as a global leader in GIS is happy to be executing the contracts for Survey of India. Infotech's expertise in creating world class maps for customers in North America and Europe will be a natural advantage.
