Jaiprakash Associates Q3FY08 Results

Jaiprakash Associates Ltd has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended December 31, 2007:

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 1560 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 1020 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 9310 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 to Rs 10020 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007.

Jaiprakash Associates - Bina Power acquisition

With reference to the news item appearing in a leading financial daily titled "Jaypee group eyes Bina Power", Jaiprakash Associates Ltd has clarified that "in an expanding organization like ours, exploring new business opportunities is a continuous process. As a sequel to this effort, we keep examining various proposals including the one referred. The Stock Exchanges will be informed if and as soon as the proposal gets crystalised."

Total Income has increased from Rs 8080 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 to Rs 9220 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007.
