Ballarpur Industries Q3FY08 Results

Ballarpur Industries Ltd has announced the following Unaudited Results for the quarter ended December 31, 2007:

The Company has posted a net profit after taxation of Rs 667.00 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 621.50 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006. Total Income is Rs 6181.90 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 6040.70 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006.

The Consolidated Results are as follows:

The Group has posted a net profit after taxation, minority interest & Share in Associates of Rs 738.80 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 624.50 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006. Total Income is Rs 7490.00 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 6071.70 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006.

The above consolidated Results for the current quarter include the results of Sabah Forest Industries Sdn, Bhd, Malaysia (SFI), which was acquired by the Company on March 16, 2007. The results are therefore not comparable with the figures of corresponding quarter of the previous year.
