Tulip IT Services bags ASSAM State Wide Area Network project worth Rs 57.72 Cr

Tulip IT Services Ltd has announced that the Company has been awarded the Assam State Wide Area Network Project. The project will be implemented on Build Own Operate & Transfer (BOOT) model and the total value of the project is in excess of Rs. 57.72 Crores. The Company will deploy manage and operate the entire network for a period of 5 years.

The scope of the project includes supply and installation of network equipment across the State, as well as operation and maintenance of the project for a period of 5 years. The network supports data, voice and video, and will enable the State to implement various e-Governance initiatives. This will be a total IP Network based on open standards having scalability and high capacity. It is planted to meet the present and future requirements of the Government of Assam. On completion of this project the Government of Assam will have an integrated backbone for common citizen services, online monitoring of performance of various promotional schemes, integration of data bases of various Government departments unified communication, etc.

With this project, the Company has further strengthened its position in the field of setting up eGovernance infrastructure. The Company supports various eGovernance projects through its reach in various rural parts of India and has implemented the Akshaya Project for the Government of Kerala and is presently implementing Haryana & West Bengal SWAN Projects. The Company has also implemented Data Center projects for various State Governments over the past year.
