Prithvi Information bags BSNL order

Prithvi Information Solutions Ltd has informed that the Company has bagged an order of Rs 309 Crores from BSNL, supply of Transmission Equipment that helps increase network bandwidth.

Prithvi has tied up with a Chinese telecom major, Huwei Technologies Ltd to source the equipment and is customizing it for BSNL. Prithvi will also be responsible for embedding the NMS (Networking Maintenance Software), assembling, quality check, etc. along with the maintenance of the equipment for the next 5 years.

With its largest domestic order in the sector, Prithvi Info marks its entry into the domestic telecom space. The Company's order book in the telecom space stands at Rs 2030 mio as on December 31, 2007 with orders from Companies like T mobile, Singular of Rs 1830 mio in US.

With its forte in RF engineering space, the Company stands to expand its service offering with the BSNL order, which will enable the Company to bid for software solutions projects in the Indian telecom space in the days to come.
