The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 5537.90 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 4115.80 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 23246.10 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 to Rs 26949.60 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007.
The Consolidated results are as follows:
The Group has posted a net profit (after minority share) of Rs 7218.60 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 5593.10 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 37329.90 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 to Rs 44488.30 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2007.

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 4997.80 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 3378.40 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 20616.10 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 to Rs 25765.50 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007.

Grasim proposes to sell / transfer, subject to requisite approvals, its textile units viz. Bhiwani Textile Mills and Elegant Spinners at Bhiwani, Haryana, on a going concern to the said new subsidiary".
