Pyramid Saimira opens multiplex at Faridabad

Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd has announced that Pyramid Saimira Group, has inaugurated its first multiplex in Faridabad, on January 22, 2008. The 3-screen multiplex is housed in SLF mail at Indraprastha Colony. This will be the first of the many multiplexes that the Company plans to inaugurate in the National Capital Region. With this inauguration, Pyramid Saimira has added 522 seats to its existing capacity of 4,34,955 seats in all. Pyramid Saimira now has a total of 4,35,477 number of seats.

Speaking on this inauguration Mr. Saminathan, Managing Director, Pyramid Saimira Group said, "We are extremely happy to foray into the National Capital Region, which is a pivotal market to us. We plan to invest Rs 50.00 crore in North India towards the construction of multiplexes, improvement of infrastructure and digitization, amongst other developmental activities, in the current fiscal. Faridabad, with a population of close to two million, offers tremendous potential for companies operating in the entertainment space and we will be glad to capitalize on this opportunity. We plan to open many more multiplexes in the near future in all the happening areas of the city. We have just started penetrating the Haryana market and expect to capture big market share in Haryana by end of 2008."

The Pyramid Saimira group also forayed into the F&B business with the launch of its first food court at the SLF Mall at Faridabad in December, 2007. Pyramid Saimira promises to provide a unique and pleasurable experience to all its customers, visiting the Multiplex and SLF Mall, in a relaxed ambience.

Recently, Pyramid Saimira acquired 51% in the Mumbai-based Dimples Cine Advertising & Dimples Cine Activations. The Company also acquired Texas-based FunAsiA through its subsidiary; Pyramid Saimira Entertainment America, Inc., as well as an existing theatre and radio drive-time hours in Chicago and radio time in Houston.
