GMR Infrastructure Ltd has informed that GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), a subsidiary of the Company has awarded the retail bookstore concession to Landmark. The agreement is for three-year period starting from Airport opening date.
In this regard GHIAL is proposing to issue the following press release.....
"GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) which is developing Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad where 87% works are already completed awarded the retail bookstore concession to Landmark. The agreement is for a three-year period starting from the Airport opening date.
Landmark has been selected as the preferred bidder based on both technical and financial evaluations. Several parameters were taken into account for evaluation such as the Company background, network of operations in India and abroad, proposed categories of merchandise for the bookstore outlets, concept planned for these outlets and financial proposal.
As per the contract, Landmark will set up and operate the bookstore in the Passenger Terminal Building - Domestic Departure and Arrivals, covering approximately an area of 80 sqm. In addition, Landmark shall complete the interior fit out works before December 31, 2007 and be ready to commence business operations by February 01, 2007.
Landmark will offer extensive range of newspapers, magazines, books, music and movies amidst the warm international shopping ambience and friendly service from polite and courteous staff.
