NTPC JV with Ministry of Railways

National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) has informed that the Company and the Ministry of Railways have signed an agreement on November 06, 2007 for the formation of a Joint Venture Company namely "Bhartiya Rail Bijlee Company Ltd" for setting up a captive power plant of 1000 MW(4X250 MW) at Nabinagar, Bihar. NTPC will contribute 74% of equity and the balance 26% equity shall be extended by Railways. The Company will be a subsidiary of NTPC. 90% of the power from the plant will be supplied to Railways and 10% to others.
