NTPC subsidiary company

Further to earlier announcement dated November 06, 2007, National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) has announced that the Company has formed a subsidiary Company under the name and style of "Bhartiya Rail Bijlee Company Ltd" on November 22, 2007 for setting up a captive power plant of 1000 MW (2X250MW) at Nabinagar, Bihar. The Company shall contribute 74% equity and the balance 26% equity in the share capital of this Company shall be extended by Ministry of Railways, Government of India.
